Each year, thousands of country-music fans converge in Nashville to enjoy four days of music with over 150 hours of concerts featuring the most coveted country stars. For 2015, the CMA Music Festival will take place from June 11 to June 14 at LP Field. In addition to stages featuring superstars and up-and-coming stars of country music, fans can take advantage of the fan fair where many well-known music artists make themselves available to provide autographs and photo opportunities. If your group is heading to Nashville for the music festival, there are a few tricks to make the most of your time and money.
Buy Your CMA Tickets Early
Buying tickets early is particularly important for groups that wish to sit together. CMA Music Festival Tickets become available for sale as early as July of the year prior. While you are at it, don’t overwhelm your group with multiple events that will lead to fatigue and grumpy participants. Pick the best of the best, and use the rest of your time to enjoy the sights and other lateral free- or low-cost activities available during the festival week.
Don’t Park at LP Field
Parking for multi-axle vehicles at LP Field is very costly. Have your bus drop you over at the entrance and pick you up at a remote location at the end of each event.
Select a Feature-Rich Hotel
Pick a hotel that knows how to cater to groups. If your group will require more than 10 guest rooms, have your Groople coordinator request a block of continuous rooms. Restaurants tend to be quite crowded during the festival, so consider a hotel option that offers free breakfast for your group.
We asked our Nashville group-hotel specialist to give us a few suggestions. These are excellent hotels that will cater to your group with a commitment to comfort and high-level hospitality:
- Embassy Suites Hotel Nashville
- Millennium Maxwell House Nashville
- Gaylord Opryland Resort (our personal favorite!)
